Explore Our Regions Gardens This Spring
As the crisp Winter dew begins to melt, the Daylesford Macedon region unfurls like a flower bud turning to the morning sun. Ripe, rich and ready to shine, the gardens of the area are in abundance. There’s a major obsession with gardens in the Daylesford and Macedon region. With a climate that gives us four distinct seasons, along with ample rain and fertile soils, it’s the dedication of local green thumbs that has resulted in the many historic gardens that flourish.
Behind the walls of impressive Mount Macedon mansions are some of Victoria’s finest gardens, many National Trust-listed. We recommend a visit to the stunning Forest Glades and gardens of Tieve Tara.
Where there are keen gardeners there are great nurseries, and our region has an overwhelming array.
Both the Diggers Club’s Garden of St Erth in Blackwood and Lambley Nursery in Ascot are gardeners go to place for plant diversity and beauty. Their display gardens are truly superb.
